Welcome to Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC)

The QEC of the University has been established on 21st March 2019. QEC is working under the esteemed guidance of the Vice-Chancellor and the parameter laid down by the QAA, HEC, Islamabad. QEC is established to enhance, maintain, and monitor the quality of higher education.

To adopt best practices to develop the university into a world-class institution for higher studies and research.

Developing a viable and sustainable mechanism of quality assurance in the university of Sufism and Modern Sciences Bhitshah in order to meet the rising challenges of transforming the country into a knowledge economy.

Mission

The mission of QEC is to ensure and enhance the quality of higher education at the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences Bhitshah.

Develop and implement best practices in education and research.

Objectives of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC)

The mission of QEC is to ensure and enhance the quality of higher education at the University of Sufism and Modern Sciences Bhitshah.

QEC is structured to have a focus attention on quality assurance aspects of higher education.

To monitor the ongoing quality move in the University.

To meet the challenges of global compatibility in higher education.

To develop a viable and sustainable mechanism of quality assurance in the higher education sector of the country.

To produce manpower which could serve the society in an efficient, effective, and honest way.

QEC Functions

Promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded.

Review of quality standards and the quality of teaching and learning in each subject area.

Developing quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to affirm that the quality of provision and the standard of awards are being maintained and to foster curriculum, subject and staff development, together with research and other scholarly activities.

Review of academic collaboration with other institutions in terms of effective management of standards and quality of programs.

Defining clear and explicit standards as points of reference to the reviews/audits to be carried out.

Developing qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification.

Developing program specifications. These are standard set of information clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes a student will have developed on successfully completing a specific program.

Ensuring that the university’s quality assurance procedures are designed to fit in with the arrangements in place nationally for maintaining and improving the quality of Higher Education.
