Ms (By Research) V/S MS ( By Course Work)

The MSDS program has two basic categories: MS with Thesis and MS without Thesis. In MS with Thesis, the student needs to complete 24 credit hours to take MS Thesis I (research work in 3rd Semester) and MS Thesis II (thesis work in 4th Semester) of 3 credit hours each over two semesters. In MS without Thesis, the student needs to complete 24 credit hours to implement the MS Project. Every student enrolled in MS Data Science (MSDS) with the Department of Information and Computing at USMS is required to register and complete either an MS Thesis or an MS Project.
